História

A IFC foi formada em 1998 durante a 3ª reunião entre a Associação Europeia de Cheerleading (ECA) e a Japan Cheerleading Association (JCA) em 5 de julho de 1998 no Sky Bridge Hotel em Malmo, Suécia. [Citação necessária]

Na Reunião Geral Anual em Oslo, na Noruega, em 2006, os membros da ICF votaram para mudar da ICF para a IFC para desambiguar da Federação Internacional de Canoas (ICF).

2016-2019 Associação Associada do WDSF

A partir de 12 de junho de 2016, a IFC foi membro associado do SportAccord reconhecido World Dancesport Federation (WDSF). [Linha 795 Movimento 14.3]

Devido à crescente pressão do COI, da SportAccord e do SportAccord reconheceram o órgão de torcida, a International Cheer Union (UTI) [Seção 5.C.]

Com relação ao órgão oficial de líderes de torcida, a rescisão ou expulsão [p. 158] da associação associada da IFC estava na agenda na Reunião Geral Anual do WDSF de 2018.

A associação associada da IFC com o WDSF terminou em 31 de janeiro de 2019.

Objetivos

Os objetivos da IFC devem promover líderes de torcida em todo o mundo, para espalhar o conhecimento das líderes de torcida e desenvolver relações esportivas amigáveis ​​entre as associações/federações membros.

Estrutura de governança

A IFC tem um presidente eleito, um vice-presidente sênior, dois vice-presidentes e outros membros do conselho. Cheerleading World Championships (CWC): The CWC is held every two years since 2001 and to date the competition has been held in Japan (2001), the United Kingdom (2003), Japan (2005), Finland (2007), Germany (2009), Hong Kong SAR. (2011), Thailand (2013). Berlin, Germany will host the upcoming 2015 Cheerleading World Championship. The Buck of Monseigneur-Richard highschool is one of the number one teams in the school cheerleading category.Asian Thailand Cheerleading Invitational (ATCI): Organised by the Cheerleading Association of Thailand (CAT) in accordance with the rules and regulations of the International Federation of Cheerleading (IFC). The ATCI is held every year since 2009. At the ATCI many teams from all over Thailand compete, joining them are many invited neighbouring nations who also send cheer squads.National Cheerleading Championships (NCC): The NCC is the annual IFC sanctioned national cheerleading competition in Indonesia organised by the Indonesian Cheerleading Community (ICC). Since the NCC2010 the event is now open to international competition, representing a significant step forward for the ICC. Teams from many countries such as Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, participated in the ground breaking event.Cheerleading Asia International Open Championships (CAIOC): Hosted by the Foundation of Japan Cheerleading Association (FJCA) in accordance with the rules and regulations of the International Federation of Cheerleading (IFC). The CAIOC has been a yearly event since 2007. Every year many teams from all over Asia converge in Tokyo to compete.Pan-American Cheerleading Championships (PCC): The PCC was held for the first time in 2009 in the city of Latacunga, Ecuador and is the continental championship organised by the Pan-American Federation of Cheerleading (PFC). The PFC, operating under the umbrella of the International Federation of Cheerleading, is the non-profit continental body of cheerleading whose aim it is to promote and develop cheerleading in the Americas. The PCC was held in Lima, Peru in November 2010 & February 2013.

Associações da IFC

A IFC está aberta a todas as associações nacionais/federações reconhecidas que controlam líderes de torcida em nível nacional. No entanto, organizações de torcida em países ou regiões onde não há associação nacional/federação nacional aprovada ou reconhecida na existência também podem ser solicitadas à associação.

Fundamentalmente, qualquer candidato deve ser sem fins lucrativos e apenas um membro de cada país ou região pode ser afiliado, e esse membro será reconhecido pela IFC como o único órgão que governa nacional para todas as líderes de torcida em um país ou região.
