Nascrag é uma organização de jogos independente que consiste em um núcleo de 60 a 80 membros. A GENCON fornece a Nascrag de 20 a 30 crachás GM complementares todos os anos e alguns juízes simplesmente pagam sua própria maneira.
Os deveres da organização de eventos para Nascrag são tratados por Ross Davidson e David Mitchard. Nascrag foi anteriormente dirigido por "Squirrel Queen" Carole Bland, que assumiu o posto de seu marido, o chefe de Lackey emérito de Nascrag, Len Bland, em 1993.
O trabalho de organizar os cerca de 100 jogadores por intervalo de tempo (4 ou 5 tempos de tempo por ano) em equipes gerenciáveis de seis é tratado pelo mestre de cerimônias de Nascrag. Em 2017, Doug Moore assumiu os deveres de mestre de cerimônias. De 2004 a 2016, o cargo foi ocupado por Tom Lommel e seu assistente Buster Pishkur. Nascrag mantém um influxo constante de sangue fresco através dos esforços de "PressGangs", liderados por Brian Chase e Doug Moore. PressGangs vaga pelos corredores da Gen Con, tentando convencer novos jogadores a participar.
Em 1979, um grupo de amigos que frequentava a Gen Con queria jogar no D&D Open. Mas o Open era muito popular e teve que afastar muitos jogadores naquele ano. Esses amigos, liderados por Len Bland e James Robert, decidiram administrar seu próprio torneio a partir de 1980.

It memorably featured Flambeau the flamin' pig.The NASCRAG University series (1999–2001)Three adventures about the time and dimension traveling agents of the BUSCI organization and their struggles against the evil ASCII Corporation.The Seconds series (2002–2004)Three time traveling adventures in which humans and elves must work together to aid the eccentric Doc Zown against the depredations of the Spider Queen Lilth and her Dark Race Of Warriors. It features faerie assassins, the mouse-folk of Emerald Bay, and a fantastic voyage inside the Prince's body in a yellow submarine. 2006's event was titled "A Touch of Fever." The final installment of this series, entitled "A Little Revenge", took place in 2007.The Pretanic Island Saga series (2008–2010)All the power of Venezia poises to crush the Islands. What can six smelly humanoids do against that?The Stolen Lives Series - (2011-2013)2011's event was entitled "Reality's Bite": Six strangers, marooned on a tropical island.
